Conversely, a southern country might prefer priority to be given to controlling diseases, since the instability of its currency affects it less directly. Or countries might have different views of the priority to give protection of intellectual property rights on the one hand, in order to foster private research investment, and the dissemination of knowledge, on the other. An analysis undertaken in terms of global justice should make it possible to reconcile these two sets of needs.
